ASK Resource Center Announces 13th Annual Together We Can Conference

DES MOINES, Iowa - March 31, 2025 - PRLog -- The ASK Resource Center is proud to announce the 13th Annual Together We Can Conference, a premier statewide event dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who support them. Scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM, the conference will be held at the Varied Industries Building on the Iowa State Fairgrounds, located at 3000 East Grand Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50317.​

This unique event fosters meaningful connections and offers impactful learning opportunities through a series of breakout sessions, networking events, and an extensive resource fair. Attendees will gain valuable insights into topics such as postsecondary transition, disability law, education, and health and well-being. ​

The conference is free for families, caregivers, and youth/young adults with disabilities. Professionals are invited to attend for a registration fee of $30. On-site childcare services are available for $30 per child, providing accessibility for all participants.

This year's keynote address, titled "More than Enough!" will be delivered by Dr. Barbara Guy, a distinguished figure in special education with over 27 years of experience at the Iowa Department of Education. Dr. Guy will share personal insights and strategies for setting and achieving high expectations for individuals with disabilities. ​
