Better Together to host hiring events April 24 and May 1 in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - April 2, 2025 - PRLog -- Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to building strong families through community and work, has two job fairs coming up in the greater Kansas City area: Thursday, April 24 in Tonganoxie and Thursday, May 1 in Leavenworth, both from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT.

The April 24 job fair is in partnership with West Haven Baptist Church, located at 1000 West St. in Tonganoxie. Job seekers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/Events/Tonganoxie-JF/ or by texting "JOBS" to 844-987-3949. Employer registration is full.

The May 1 job fair will be in collaboration with First City Fellowship and located at The Heritage Center, 109 Delaware St. in Leavenworth. Job seekers and employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/FirstCity or by texting "JOBS" to 844-987-3949.

The job fairs connect job seekers with local employers who are ready to hire, while also providing resources to facilitate stronger connections and more hires. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes and interviewing skills, and additional services will be available onsite.

The job fairs are part of Better Together's "Better Jobs" program, which has helped 40,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 24 states. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of attendees get a job interview, and 1 in 4 receive a job offer on the spot. Some 70% find work within six weeks.
