Valpo Shelter Expands to Over 1,500 Resources Across Indiana and Alabama

CULLMAN, Ala. - April 2, 2025 - PRLog -- [Cullman, Alabama] — After three years of dedicated work, Valpo Shelter has grown from 300 to over 1,500 resources, expanding its coverage from Indiana to Alabama. The platform remains 100% free, offering a centralized directory of essential services for men, women, and families facing homelessness, financial hardship, or substance abuse challenges.

Founded originally by the City of Valparaiso, Indiana, to solve homelessness in ten years, the website was left to expire. John Marx, owner of Fawkes Digital Marketing and creator of Brilliance CRM, restarted the Valpo Shelter directory to help those in need.

Having experienced homelessness twice himself, John understands the struggles firsthand to find resources that are available to those in need. He dedicates his free time to ensuring those in need can easily find housing, food assistance, medical care, and other vital services in a single place.

"This project is deeply personal to me," said Marx. "I know what it feels like not knowing where to seek help. I aim to ensure no one has to face that uncertainty alone, and saving just one person justifies everything I am doing."

Valpo Shelter is fully managed and maintained by Marx, who uses his expertise in CRM technology to keep the directory up-to-date and user-friendly based on feedback he receives.
