Southampton, NY, April 24, 2025: Let's face it, it is awkward to have any conversation about planning for our end of life.  You might even be reading this thinking I want nothing to do with this.  But what if we took away the taboo associated with talking about end of life and made it a healthy conversation to have?  Artful Home Care presents Planning Your Legacy: An End-of-Life Strategy Session.

This conversation will give us a chance to understand how we can secure the future for our loved ones, ensure we have the funds to pay for long term care, to make certain our assets (both big and small) are allocated to those we want them designated to, our health wishes are respected because they were known, and that one day when it's our time to pass, we can have a celebration of life that we desire for ourselves, leaving a lasting impression for those most dear to us.

Let's start the conversation now!  I am Beth McNeill-Muhs.  I am the wife of artist, Jeff Muhs.  I am the mom of two wonderful children, West and India.  I am a sister and I am a daughter to two loving parents.  As the owner and operator of Artful Home Care, a non-medical companion care agency based in Southampton, New York, I have been seeing first hand why this is not only important but essential to our way of life.

I invite you to join me for an intimate discussion about planning your legacy, an end-of-life strategy session.

Who is this for: really anyone. But ideally, this is geared towards those who live in Long Island, are aged 40-70, own a home (or multiple homes), have some savings, and maybe you are a business owner or self-employed, or employed full time and you haven't addressed some of the components of planning for end of life including:

• creating legal documents such as an estate plan, POA & more
• outlining your medical wishes in an advance directive (living will)
• documenting your assets and financial information
• reviewing financial tools with Long Term Care benefits
• discussing your end-of-life preferences with loved ones
• considering your celebration of life, funeral arrangements, or burial plans

I will be moderating this event with esteemed estate planning attorney Katherine Southard of Southard Estate Planning, Brian Reynolds, independent financial advisor & retirement planning specialist and Marc Silverstein, independent financial advisor & long term care and disability insurance specialist, both with Lincoln Investment.  The event will be held on Thursday, April 24 from 5 to 7 PM at Plain-T in Southampton.
