Born and raised in the gritty streets of the South Bronx, John Duffy's life has been anything but ordinary. The son of a widowed Irish immigrant mother, Duffy overcame poverty, dropped out of high school, and navigated through political activism in his youth before reinventing himself as an actor, counselor, and ultimately a Hollywood film producer and Professor at UCLA.. His career spans fifty feature films, and his unique personal story is as compelling as the movies he produces.

Now based in Los Angeles, Duffy is the creator and host of the Live Courageously Podcast, a weekly show that features transformational conversations with guests who've defied the odds.
