Cops Abandoned ICE In Chicago; Bondi Must Indict ICEBlock Operator

"Assassin's App" Clearly Violates Criminal Law and is Not Protected as "Speech"

WASHINGTON - Oct. 6, 2025 - PRLog -- When ICE agents were under attack in Chicago, local police were ordered not to provide them with protection or any other assistance.

This makes it even more imperative that Attorney General Pam Bondi seek to indict the operator of the ICEBlock app which she and others admit is behind many of these violent attacks.

Although concerns about the lives and safety of federal officers involved in immigration activities forced Bondi to successfully demand that both Apple and Google no longer permit new downloads of the ICEBlock app, it can still be downloaded from other locations, notes public interest law professor John Banzhaf.

More importantly, the app has already been downloaded to countless cellphones where it continues to be utilized to facilitate assaults on federal law enforcement officers because the operator refuses to stop operating it.

So far, the developer isn't at all deterred from continuing to facilitate violent assaults by the administration's so-far toothless threats, boasting (https://www.tbsnews.net/worldbiz/usa/us-citizens-are-trac...) "This administration tends to blow a bunch of hot air in front of the cameras, but then they don't follow up and do anything because they know they don't have a legal leg to stand on."

But they do have a very strong legal leg to stand on, says Banzhaf, whose legal actions played a role in obtaining Nixon special prosecutors, his complaint triggered the criminal indictment of Trump, and his lawsuit forced former VP Spiro Agnew to return the money he pocketed as bribes.

That's why he has joined with many federal officials in urging Bondi to seek an indictment; a move likely to substantially reduce this threat to the safety of federal law enforcement officials, especially where local police cannot or even refuse to protect them.

The law professor has outlined how and why an indictment of the "Assassin's App (https://thespectator.com/topic/why-is-apple-hosting-an-assassins-app/)" should be sought under 18 U.S. Code § 111 (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/111); the outrage in Chicago makes the case even stronger.
