Waco Author Turns Stories Told to Grandchildren into New Children's Adventure Book

WACO, Texas - Oct. 27, 2026 - PRLog -- Summary: Texas grandmother and author Renae Authement transforms treasured family stories into The Adventures of Frank & Faye, a children's book celebrating imagination, friendship, and meaningful life lessons.

WACO, Texas – What began as bedtime stories for her grandchildren has become a children's book that Waco author, retired nursing professor, and podcast host Renae Authement is sharing with families everywhere.

Her newly released book, The Adventures of Frank & Faye, brings years of treasured family storytelling to life through entertaining childhood adventures.

Written for boys and girls ages 8–12, the book is also ideal for parents and grandparents to read aloud to younger children.

For Authement, storytelling is about more than entertainment. It sparks imagination, teaches valuable lessons, and strengthens family connections.

"Some of my most treasured memories are the stories I've shared with my grandchildren over the years," said Authement. "Those moments of imagination, laughter, and togetherness are so special to me. I decided it was time to take those stories beyond our family and share them with other children, parents, and grandparents. My hope is that Frank and Faye will become part of their family memories, too."

The Adventures of Frank & Faye follows a fun-loving brother and sister as they experience new friendships, unexpected adventures, and everyday childhood challenges. Each chapter concludes with a meaningful life lesson, encouraging children to consider their choices, relationships, and treatment of others.

Following a career in nursing and higher education, Authement transitioned into podcasting, co-hosting Middle-Class Matters with her daughter, Brooke. Her venture into children's literature continues her passion for teaching and storytelling.

Of all her professional titles, Authement's favorite remains "Granna."

The book is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other booksellers. It has been assigned Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN) 2026923116.
