Many people have a walking holiday in the Himalaya on their bucket list but are put off by the knowledge that most of the accommodation is in basic mountain huts.
The Himalaya separate the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau, and have some of the planet's highest peaks, including the most well-known, Mount Everest, at 8848m, and over 100 others exceeding 7200 m.
