INTRODUCTION
Hydrocyclones are density separators that convert pressure energy into rotational momentum. The rotational momentum provides the centrifugal force to separate solids from a primary liquid. Separation efficiency is determined by the hydrocyclone geometrical parameters. The interaction between parameters dictate the hydrocyclone efficiency. It is essential that the geometry of each internal component is designed to promote a smooth transition in maintaining streamline flow.

FEATURES
Conventional hydrocyclones have a tangential feed inlet and two outlets; one for the concentrated solids (underflow) and one for the relatively clean liquid reporting out the vortex finder tube (overflow).

The primary vortex carries the solids to the apex outlet. The apex orifice permits the heavier solids and a small amount of the liquid to be discharged. Air is drawn through the apex orifice and a secondary developing vortex carries the cleaned primary liquid and light gravity solids out through the vortex finder tube. In operation, a pressurized slurry is fed to the hydrocyclone and the centrifugal force generated causes the heavier suspended solids to move toward the wall while the radial velocity forces the liquid and light gravity solids to move inward toward the center axis, generating a primary and secondary vortex.

(1) The full involuted feed provides a smooth transition from pressure energy to rotational momentum. The rotational flow does not collide with the feed inlet flow. This eliminates the turbulence that influences the rate of sedimentation.
(2) The bell shaped vortex finder tube increases acceleration to the rotating fluid at a critical moment. The acceleration rapidly moves the heavier solids toward the hydrocyclone walls, This reduces the possibility of mixed density solids leaking or short circuiting through the overflow.
(3) The solid center core attached to the entrance to the vortex finder tube provides flow stability between the primary and secondary vortices. The solid center core replaces the unstable and fluctuating air core. The instability of the air core degrades the symmetry and equilibrium of the flow-field. The solid center core promotes a more constant rotational velocity and keeps the centrifugal force from degrading.
(4)The parabolic shaped body of the SPINTOP HYDROCYCLONE provides a more gentle slope from the cylindrical section to the apex orifice. the large cross sectional area of the parabolic shaped body contributes to a stable laminar flow and a reduction in plugging.

ZQJ series desilter is the third class solids control equipment to treat the drilling fluids. According to the size of the cone diameter, they are divided into Desander and Desilter. Usually the cone diameter is less than 6″is called Desilter, and used as the third-control equipment in drilling operation. We commonly used 5 "and 4" cone to separate solid-phase particle size 15-47μm in the drilling fluid. Usually the cone diameter is more than 6″is called Desander, and used as the second-control equipment in drilling operation. We commonly used 8 "and 10" cones desander to separate solid-phase particle size 47-76μm in the drilling fluids
