Electric Blues Club are proud to present a series of live music concerts plus open mic competition at Broomfield Park on Sundays in August 2010
 
July 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Electric Blues Club in association with the London Borough of Enfield are proud to present a series of FREE live music concerts on Sunday afternoons at Broomfield Park Bandstand.

Join us by the bandstand with friends, family, a rug and a picnic to enjoy the music in beautiful lakeside surroundings.

1st August 2010 :
1-2pm Open Mic Competition
2-5pm Bear Cat Crawlers - New Orleans Trad Jazz Band
This New Orleans Jazz band were formed by local club member, musician and music teacher Robbie Martin. His group of fellow musicians work as a collective with various members coming together to perform when required. Their professionalism and years of experience enable them to pick up and play with practically anyone, anywhere, anytime.

8th August 2010 :
1-2pm Open Mic Competition
2-5pm Folk/Blues with Pete Wood & the JT Blues Chapter whose style is reminiscent of a young Bob Dylan with great blues beats will be supported by singer/songwriter Jack Terroni

15th August 2010 :
1-2pm Open Mic Competition
2-5pm Pop/Rock with Stone Pony (North London's hardest working covers band), every member sings so expect a variety of voices and songs, supported by the T-Jays and original band Temper Diablo who have been making their mark on the local scene.

22nd August 2010
1-2pm Competition Final
2-5pm Blues with RoXi & the Blue Cats line up includes the dynamic and emotive Roxi with powerful stratospheric vocals, exquisitely brilliant ex U-Boat bass player Philip Plant (also played on Man Who Fell To Earth film soundtrack and with Red Buddha Theatre), Rick Moxon on rhythm guitar, awesome licks on lead guitar from Martin Ellins and pumping the beat out on drums is Brian Johnson. The band will be supported by folk singer songwriter Jim Dawson & Lou on percussion plus special guests. http://www.bluecats.co.uk

Want to appear in the park? Get exposure for your act? Solo and duo singers and musicians are invited to bring their ACOUSTIC instrument or backing track on an audio cassette or CD if they would like to get up and perform in the Open Mic Competition on the 1st, 8th or 15th August 2010 for the opportunity to win FREE time at Downs Sounds Rehearsal Studio, Southgate.
