Aug. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Warminster, Pa Sept 10, th between 2-4 pm. Jazz 4 Nothin’ is the newest up and coming big band in the Bucks County region. Jazz 4 Nothin’ will also have a booth designated to find fresh new musician’s from the area to join its ever popular big band but also to fill the gap for the fledgling symphony.  This booth will also show a variety of it’s sponsors who are excited about bringing the arts alive in the Bucks county region. The symphony meets every other Weds and is looking for players young and old to recreate the classics as they we’re meant to be played. Musicians will be able to hone their skills and perform a vital service to the community by sharing their love of music and expressing it through the charts of old.
Started only a year ago by Alison Graham and John Tangye.  Concerned about the lack of community jazz bands tackling difficult charts, the abilities of superior players no longer being challenged musically and the seeming decline of jazz music in the area, the pair ordered charts out of pocket and mustered together the group. This idea has grown into a non-profit organization that by donations and volunteers has recaptured the passion and creativity of audiences of all ages. A range of music that can blow the roof off a building to a sultry and melodic sound, there is no stopping these up in comers.
The group has performed in numerous jazz festivals this year with much fanfare. Members of the band are of all ages from as young as fourteen years old to members in their sixties. These talented musicians dedicate their time and talent from all over the Pennsylvania. The main objective is to mentor talented musicians to achieve a level not met before for their own personal goals. With charts that are difficult and a cooperative effort of all the members the music performed far exceeds that of the average band.
The true keys to success are the drive of the musicians in the group. The love of playing and the mentoring of the less experienced have made this group more of a family than just another band.
While still in its infancy Jazz 4 Nothin’ has exploded onto the scene and is now branding out to accomplish its goal. This group looks to recapture the big band sounds of Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson to name a few and then to create new and fresh sounds to capture the essence of what American music was meant to be. Jazz 4 Nothin’ is always looking for dedicated musicians young and old to help foster this nurture ship and following its creed. “Because Big Bands are supposed to be like, BIG!

The mission statement of the group is to musically challenge its members and to raise the bar of community jazz band performances in the area, if not to bring jazz music to the community on a more regular basis. Big bands are suppose to be, like, BIG!
