GN 10'' Desander Hydrocyclone and 4'' Desilter Hydrocyclone

Nov. 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Hydrocyclone is  a device to classify,separate or sort particles in a liquid suspension based on the ratio of their centripetal force to fluid resistance. It mostly are used as the 2nd and 3nd stage of solids control for drilling mud. A hydrocyclone normally have  a cylindrical section at the top where liquid is being fed tangentially,and a conical base,The angle,and hence length of the conical section.plays a role in determining operating characteristics.

10'' desander hydrocyclone and 4'' desilter hydrocyclone are the common size hydrocyclone which used on mud cleaner. Normally  the treating capacity of 10'' desander hydrocyclone  are 500 GPM, and 10'' cyclone can make a separation between 40 and 75 microns. 4'' cyclone can make a separation between 15-25 microns. GN's polyurethane hydroclone has excellent resistance to heat and abrasion. The feed is tangentially blended into the cone entry as a narrow rectangle.This  design minimizes turbulence in the upper section of the cone, it allow the solids to move quickly to the cone wall. The cone is divided into three easy to replace or service sections which are held together by non-corrosive stainless steel clamps.

GN polyurethane hydrocyclone are easier to operate and maintain,the working life is more than twice as long as conventional cones.
