Courage Center invites you to apply for unique high-tech, high-touch volunteer opportunity

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Courage Center Volunteer Services is recruiting people to assist with its primary care clinic’s telemedicine program. We seek individuals who are comfortable with technology, are skilled at building trustworthy relationships, and who possess the confidence to support clients by assisting with in-home video conferences with Courage Center’s clinic staff and providers.

Many of Courage Center clients’ have limited physical mobility which causes extraordinary challenges in managing their health and independence. As a telemedicine volunteer you will help reduce these barriers, enabling clients to better manage their health, reduce hospitalizations, and diminish the unhealthy affects of social isolation.

We are entering our third year of offering this high-tech service. Courage Center has been recognized by the federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services for this innovative volunteer-driven program.

The screening process will close on September 1, 2013. The 20 hour training session will be conducted in October and November.
