Follow on Google News | Swarm of Eyes to Play Two Live Shows with Metalcore Legends OvercastThrash / doom metal band Swarm of Eyes will play two January 2014 shows headlined by metalcore luminaries Overcast, featuring Brian Fair of Shadows Fall and Mike D'Antonio of Killswitch Engage.
By: Swarm of Eyes Two of the local Overcast shows are sold out. However, fans of all ages can catch a rare glimpse of Overcast and their comrades-in- Swarm of Eyes are also slated to be on the ticket for a January 18th show at Ralph's Diner in Worcester, MA. The 21+ show also features fellow New England metal mainstays Acaro, Sexcrement, and Cheech. Tickets for this event have already sold out. "This show in Providence will go down in the books as one of the heaviest and best local shows in the state for years to come," said Swarm of Eyes vocalist Randy Carter. "It's been well over a decade since Overcast last graced the stage in Rhode Island, so with the huge metal scene there, and the proximity of Connecticut and Massachusetts to the state, the show should be packed and tearing faces off. The Ralph's Diner show in Massachusetts sold out in four days, so everyone who missed out on that gig needs to head down a few minutes south and get to this show!" Tickets are still available for the all-ages Overcast show at Simon's 677 in Providence featuring special guests Swarm of Eyes, Mechanical Process, I Guard the Throne, Red Equals Meltdown, and Thy Will Be Done. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $13.00 through Brown Paper Tickets or for $15.00 at the door on the night of the show. These two shows alongside Overcast will be the first in a string of upcoming 2014 live events for Swarm of Eyes. The band is presently working on material for their second studio album, a follow-up to their 2011 debut, Designing the Dystopia. End
