Master Sergeant Damon Nakatani Receives Grantham University’s CSM Virgil R. Williams Scholarship

LENEXA, Kan. - Aug. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- Master Sergeant (MSgt) Damon Nakatani, a Hawaii Air National Guardsman from Waianae, HI, was awarded the CSM Virgil R. Williams Scholarship from Grantham University and the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS (http://www.eangus.org/?page=GrantsScholarships)). The award was announced at the 43^rd annual EANGUS Conference and Expo held in Phoenix.

The annual full scholarship, valued up to $38,600, includes tuition, textbooks, software and fees toward the completion of a degree at Grantham University. To be considered for the award, candidates must be a member, spouse or dependent of EANGUS, and complete a personal essay detailing their desire for education and need for financial assistance.

“As the sole provider for my family, I wouldn’t have been able to afford pursuing a degree without this scholarship,” said MSgt Nakatani. “I now have the opportunity to help not only my family, but my church, my community, my job and the Air National Guard with the knowledge I’ll gain through this program from EANGUS and Grantham.”
