Superheroes Unite at The Arc of Florida Convention

TAMPA, Fla. - Oct. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- The Arc Tampa Bay will be the host chapter for this year's convention for The Arc of Florida, to be held on October 14 - 16, 2015 at the Embassy Suites Tampa-USF/Busch Gardens. This year’s convention theme: "There is a Superhero inside all of us - You just need the courage to put on the cape."

Representatives from over forty Arc chapters and affiliates across the state will converge in Tampa for a multi-day meeting. Attendees will be treated to an awards luncheon, dinner dance, breakout sessions, and surprise visits by various superheroes. The Arc Tampa Bay, formerly known as UPARC, is an organization that supports and empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the Tampa Bay area, and will be joined by similar agencies from throughout the state.

"We are so pleased to be the host chapter for the 62nd Anniversary Convention for The Arc of Florida," says Madison Orr Hauenstein, Executive Director of The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation. "We will be greeting over 350 individuals from across the state. Our motto "Achieve with Us" will be at the forefront at the convention," says Hauenstein.
