Hayes Software Systems Celebrates 25th Anniversary

AUSTIN, Texas - Oct. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Austin-based Hayes Software Systems, the leader in inventory control solutions for K-12 education administrators, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Hayes Software Systems was founded by father and son, Eugene and Michael Hayes in 1990. As an educator, Eugene Hayes realized that his peers needed an easier way to manage textbooks, so the father-son duo sought to create software solutions to address that exact need.  Hayes Software Systems’ steady growth since its inception has accelerated recently with the company tripling in size in the last three years.

During the company’s history, Hayes Software Systems has continued to be innovative and progressive, adapting to the needs of their customers.   In 2004, Hayes launched the greatly anticipated TIPWeb-IM, a web-based, software solution specifically designed for automated instructional material inventory management. TIPWeb-IT for technology and operational asset management was released in 2011.  In 2014 Hayes launched RFID functionality, the first RFID solution built specifically for school districts. Today, the company has customers in 33 states and serves district-wide deployments in 30 of the largest 100 school districts in the country.

In one example of how the company is commemorating its 25th anniversary, employees volunteered at the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. They donated canned goods and spent an afternoon sorting and inspecting food to give back to Austin, the city the company has been proud to call home for 25 years.

“It’s inspiring to me and my staff to know that we can directly impact people’s lives, whether it’s making sure students have all the learning materials or technology devices they need on the first day of school, or volunteering in our communities,” says Michael Hayes. “We look forward to another 25 years of making a difference.”
