George the salon Chicago Hosts Fundraiser for On Your Feet Foundation

CHICAGO - Feb. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- On Monday, March 21, 2016 from 5-8PM, George the salon Chicago, located at 945 N. Rush Street, will host a fundraiser benefiting On Your Feet Foundation. A $115.00 donation to OYFF will provide guests with one service of their choice from the salon's top hairstylists, estheticians and massage therapists. Guests can choose a cut, color, express facial, or chair massage while enjoying wine and hors d’oeuvres and shopping for a cause with a Stella & Dot trunk show.

100% of proceeds from the night will go to OYFF in hopes to raise awareness and funds needed to provide personal support to birthparents to help them get "back on their feet".  OYFF focuses on helping birthparents build a better life by giving them the tools they need through case management and coaching, monetary grants and through the creation of a community of other birthparents.

"I find it is important to support organizations that can provide the resources women need to improve their lives," says owner George Gonzalez. "When I heard of what OYFF did for birthmothers (women who for a number of reasons place their children with adoptive families), I wanted to help.”

Celebrity stylist George Gonzalez is known for using his salon space for philanthropic efforts to help various organizations across Chicagoland raise funds and create community awareness.
