Follow on Google News | British pedophile Lee Tucker arrested in SALaw Enforcement were advised three year ago of his whereabouts.
Below is an extract from the Cape Town Argus covering the arrest and the offenses. It also appears that the UK SUN is taking the credit for locating this person and reporting the same. When is fact is was our company WIS International that discovered his whereabouts and him being on the wanted list. This information was passed to the, SOCO, Crime Liaison Officer, Phil Marchington, at the British High Commission in Pretoria together with the British High Commissioner, Dame Nicola Brewer at the same location in August 2013. The full information about Tucker, where he was wanted, for what he was wanted for together with the fact that he was residing in cape Town and was employed as a helicopter pilot and who he worked for. This information was also passed to the Cape Town Police via an associate Investigator based in SA. I understand that things can take a while when working across legal jurisdictions, but 2013 to 2016 is quite a while. I am wondering if the information that was passed to them by our organization was never acted on. Sorry state of affairs really, when the world is facing major criminal activity and good solid information is being passed to the correct government and law enforcement agencies and either nothing is done or it takes three years to get any thing to happen. Even worse when the matter has already been finalized at court and a sentence has been handed out. Obviously there needs to be some co-operation between agencies in the UK. the local Police who dealt with the original matter will have known that Tucker has disappeared. they may not have know he had gone abroad. But they should have known that he held a British passport, which he managed to renew, twice, at the British Consul in South Africa. It beggars belief that the Police do not, or cannot, inform the Home Office passport office of all people that are wanted, so that in the event they are living abroad, they are identified when they have to renew their British Passport, its would be quite easy really, that would help bringing wanted fugitives into custody. Also a bit of old fashioned investigation skills can also help in these matters, checking to see if a person is working in the UK, are they signing on, are they on benefits, regular checks jurisdictions that are favorable to UK expats. Perhaps it time for LE to put out the tracing of warranted wanted offenders out to the public sector that have the resources to make searches in many areas around the world.
