ORLANDO, Fla. - May 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Central Florida Honda Dealers know that area drivers have been waiting on news of the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, and that wait is over. The latest Accord Hybrid will be making its way to Florida soon, and the Honda dealers want to share the specs of the new sedan before it arrives in their new vehicle inventory. The short of it is that the year off did the Accord Hybrid well, giving it improved power, fuel economy, and features.

Drivers may have noticed that there was no 2016 Honda Accord Hybrid, and that's because Honda engineers were working on the ways they could improve the hybrid sedan and meet the incredible demand that rose for the 2015 model. John Mendel, American Honda Motor Company's executive vice president, described the new hybrid: "The new Honda Accord Hybrid is the ultimate Accord-the most refined, technologically sophisticated and, of course, most fuel efficient in the lineup."

Updates to the engine should put to rest the idea that a hybrid is slow or doesn't offer much power:

* The 2017 Accord Hybrid offers 212 hp combined between the gasoline engine and the electric motors. The electric motors help bring low-RPM torque delivery for a peppier feeling behind the wheel.

* Not only has the sedan increased in power, its fuel economy numbers received a bump as well to an EPA-estimated 49 city, 47 highway, and 48 mpg combined.

Unwilling to limit themselves to just an engine upgrade, Honda now has three trim levels on the Accord Hybrid with standard amenities like Honda Sensing safety and driver assistance features and smartphone syncing tech like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Drivers will also find unique hybrid badging and accents as well as available comfort amenities like heated front seating and leather upholstery.

For the latest news on the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, including release date and price, readers should reach out to a nearby Central Florida Honda Dealer. Their sales team will have the most recent information, including how long it might be before they are on the streets of Central Florida.
