Re-Gifting

What better way to use the cardboard box that held the gift that was sent to you, then to turn it into a handwritten thank you card and send it back to the person who gave you the gift. By creating a little design on the cardboard, and writing a sweet note on the back, where you glued on some pretty scrapbook paper, you can create a beautiful card that shows your friend your creative side. Plus, cardboard can be sent as is. So there's no envelope need.

Dinner Circles

If you have a cardboard tube you can cut out circles to turn them into napkin rings. All you have to do is pick out some fabric that you love, and use fabric glue or double-sided tape to secure the cloth to the inside of each cardboard coil.

Eco-Friendly Garden Boxes

You can create an eco-friendly garden box by simply dressing up your cardboard box with a few embellishments, and then line it with plastic. Just make sure you poke a few holes in the plastic so the water can drain. You can then plants either flowers or herbs and use the box as a natural home for your plants.

This is another eco-friendly idea. You can create little shape-sorter toys for your children out of your cardboard box. Just cut the box into different shapes, add some color and then drill a hole in the cardboard and insert some fluted dowel pins to make it easy to guide the colorful shapes into place.

Make pretty storage totes out of your old cardboard boxes by using gold screw bolts and spray adhesive to hold fabric covers in place. You can also use an old bell as a carrying strap. This is a great way to repurpose your boxes, while giving you extra storage.
