Threatcare Releases Tribe of Hackers Book

Tribe of Hackers is a collection of 70 interviews from leaders, women, and people of color in the cybersecurity industry

AUSTIN, Texas - Jan. 29, 2019 - PRLog -- Threatcare today announces the release of the most comprehensive thought leadership collaborative effort in the information security industry to date. Tribe of Hackers intends to encourage beginners who are learning about information security to read about how today's professional got to where they are.

"I compiled the most common questions people ask me about cybersecurity and narrowed it down to 14 questions. The questions initially start with views of cybersecurity at-large and then become more personal." says Threatcare Founder and CEO Marcus Carey.

What tips do the founders of Dragos, Inc. and Duo Security have on starting a company? Do you need a college degree or certification to be a cybersecurity professional? What is the biggest bang-for-the-buck action your organization can take to improve its cybersecurity posture? Not only does the book intend to grab insight from industry luminaries, it also intends to humanize well-known professionals by asking questions like, "What is the biggest mistake you've ever made, and how did you recover from it?"

All proceeds from the book will go towards Bunker Labs, Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Rainforest Partnership, and Start-Up! Kid's Club. These are all non-profit organizations that Threatcare employees regularly volunteer at or donate to.

"In an effort to shine the light on the women and people of color in this industry, I'm proud to announce that over 40% of the contributors fall under either one or both of these categories," says Threatcare Head of Communications, Jennifer Jin.
