WOODSTOCK, Ga. - Dec. 20, 2019 - PRLog -- Pie Bar recently partnered with Steven Reyes of Kings Real Estate Group to bring the community together over cookies and toys.

On a chilly day in mid-December, Pie Bar customers were asked to stop by the storefront in Downtown Woodstock and donate toys for children in the foster care system in Cherokee County. In exchange for the generous toy donations, Pie Bar baked an array of holiday cookies, and gifted a box of cookies to the individuals who made a toy donation. The majority of the donations were made by other Cherokee County children and their parents.

"With the communities help, we collected 68 toys to donate to The Children's Haven in Canton" said Pie Bar's Store Manager, Vivian El-Salawy. She continues on to say, "It was exciting to see all of the people in our community who care enough to make a donation. I can only imagine how happy we just made 68 kids in Cherokee County who may not have had many gifts to begin with." The gifts were distributed by The Children's Haven to children presently in the foster care system.

Steven Reyes is a former Pie Bar employee, and when he left to pursue his goal of becoming a realtor, he knew he wanted to continue his passion of serving people in Cherokee County. "We are so happy to be a part of a generous community that turns around and gives back to those around them" he states. Steven organized the toy drive and chose to make the donation to The Children's Haven because of their commitment to serving children in Cherokee County.

"Our goal is to continue to deepen our roots within Cherokee County through projects such as this, and we're excited for our neighbors to continue on this journey with us," states Pie Bar owner, Lauren Bolden. This program was a part of Pie Bar's For The Masses Project. Each month, Pie Bar hosts or facilitates something special for the Pie Bar Community, whether it be a fun event, or a community-based project.
