The REALTOR® of the Year award is given annually by the CCRA with nominations received by peers. The REALTOR® whom receives the award exemplifies REALTOR® spirit. This is exhibited through faithfulness to principals of real estate, adhering to and advocating for the realtor Code of Ethics, encouraging good real estate practice, and conducting business in a manner that protects the best interest of the public. This REALTOR® is also a public ambassador for the association. A committee of former REALTORS® selects the nominee they feel holds these qualities best. The committee takes into consideration the nominee's civic and/or political affairs, involvement in the Central Carolina REALTORS® Association, South Carolina  Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® activities, and their business and/or general accomplishments.

Taylor grew up in Missouri and has lived in South Carolina for over 34 years. He has a background in the Army, which has instilled a motivating and leader's attitude.
