GREENVILLE, S.C. - Jan. 11, 2024 - PRLog -- Melissa Whiteford St. Clair, entrepreneur, poet, and author of "Home Work A Collection of Poems Sparked by One White Woman's Journey on the Matter of Race" and "Heart Work A Heart-Centered Collection of Poems" is pleased to announce she will be a guest speaker of Pastor Elaine Briefman, leadership success coach with Fishing4Truth. Whiteford St. Clair will share her ministry with a talk titled 50 Years on Mute | How I Found My Voice by Listening to the Voice of God on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 1:00 pm Eastern in the Renewal Fire Events by Pastor Elaine Facebook group. The theme for these January talks is Women Rocking Ministry.

Putting down roots in South Carolina, she found herself emotionally affected by the rise in social injustice in our country and dedicated herself to learning more about racism. While participating in the course "On The Matter of Race: White People Committed to Beginning the Journey Together" led by Dr. Lynne Maureen Hurdle Price, poetry became a processing mechanism for her thoughtful reflections and responses to homework assignments through verse.

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" I had a strong call toward social justice in 2020," stated Whiteford St. Clair. "As an uninformed white woman, I began a course of study for white people committed to learning more about racism and systemic racism.' She concluded. "Through a Godsend, I discovered the power of poetry as a means of expression and transformation, and I found my voice in the fight for social justice and equity."
