Earley Calls for the Abolishment of the ATF

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - March 20, 2024 - PRLog -- Today Veteran and Republican Congressional candidate Joe Earley (R-WV2), announced his support for dissolving the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF).

"The Second Amendment is non-negotiable.  As citizens, we have a right to own a gun. However, on multiple occasions the ATF has called into question the legality of firearms owned by millions of law-abiding gun owners.  We don't need a government agency undermining our constitutional rights and making law abiding citizens a felon by the stroke of a government bureaucrat's pen.  It is time dissolve the ATF and the best first start is repealing the unconstitutional 1934 National Firearms Act in its totality.  The ATF has outlived their original intent and purpose," said Earley.

Earley supports sending the ATF funding to ICE.

"Our government agencies should be protecting the rights of our legal residents while removing those who have illegally crossed our borders.  It makes perfect sense to transition the ATF funding to ICE which is overwhelmed by the invasion President Biden has caused," said Earley.

Earley also supports Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's efforts to auction off the firearms and ammunition the ATF has confiscated and give those proceeds to the families of Border Patrol officers who have been killed in the line of duty.

"It is time to stop the weaponization of government agencies against the people.  As the next Congressman, I am going to protect our rights and downsize the federal government which is too powerful," added Earley.
