Bringing to the forefront women of achievement, AWIB acknowledges the ever-increasing economic influence of Asian women in the U.S. today. In previous years notable personalities such as Jeannie Park of People Magazine and Victoria Chu-Pao of Platts, a McGraw-Hill Company have been honored by AWIB. Together with her husband David Wang, Mei founded Pacific Trade International, Inc in 1994 – two years after she had come to the U.S. in pursuit of her graduate degree in Journalism.
