Build a Homemade Wind Generator

April 22, 2008 - PRLog -- Our family set out last year to solve the problem of power for our off grid home and the best solution we found was to build a homemade wind generator. During our research we found a pretty good article by a family who were doing just that.

We found these great plans by following the link in the article and built the first of 2 wind generators for our home. We looked at putting up solar panels but they cost a lot to start with and we could have bought a wind generator but we really needed to have thousands of dollars to make it work.
The best solution was to build a wind generator.

Well, we really don't have a company, we just like finding ways to build things ourselves. If you have the right plans and some will power (plus a bit of time) you can build anything.
