Produced by nine-time Grammy winner Ray Benson, Miss Understood has helped one of Austin’s best-kept secrets burst onto the national scene. It was just a matter of time, as her critically acclaimed 2003 release Bloodless Revolution, as well as a run of legendary live shows, has established her as the heir-apparent of Texas blues legends. The Austin Chronicle calls Miss Understood “a mighty and joyous performance.” Benson jumped at the chance to produce Wonderland, shortly after learning that she was a favorite of Bob Dylan’s, “I’ve always loved what Carolyn does with her voice and she learned guitar from all those great Houston blues guys. But Bob convinced me that now was her time.” The album features six new songs from Carolyn (two of which she shares writing credits with Benson), and rare gems from Bruce Robison, JJ Cale, Rick Derringer, Lloyd Maines and Terri Hendrix.
