Remote Real-time Recording

June 19, 2008 - PRLog -- Direct access to real time environmental noise recording, via a remote computer, is now available with sound and vibration expert Brüel & Kjær’s latest Noise Management Terminal software – Type 7843.

Environmental Noise Management software Type 7843 offers real-time communication with an almost unlimited number of remotely located Noise Monitoring Terminals (NMTs), with the data being streamed directly to a central database.

The NMT software ensures the retrieval of this data through its user interface which contains a built-in Geographic Information System (GIS). The information can be streamed over LAN, W-LAN or GPRS connections directly to 7843 system, ready for analysis.

Once retrieved, the data can be viewed and analysed immediately on one - or more - computers at the user’s office, without the need for a field visit. The multiple server/client capability allows other employees within the office to operate seamlessly on the same software system. The NMTs can also be controlled and programmed from the office through the central control software.

Designed for Brüel & Kjær’s Noise Monitoring Terminals, the 7843 software was created using input from actual NMT customers, to make sure it was suitable for noise monitoring at a wide range of locations including railway stations, airports, roads, cities and industrial sites.

Contained within a protective enclosure, the NMTs have been built to withstand any type of weather condition or location, such as industrial and urban areas. The NMTs can be left unattended for permanent or semi-permanent monitoring over very long periods of time.
