Aug. 15, 2008 - PRLog -- (Bay Area, CA) -- the Jacka surpasses heavy competition to win the "Patiently Waiting: California" category for the 3rd annual TJ DJ's/Ozone Magazine Awards, which took place in Houston, TX on August 12, 2008.

Soaring his way to the top on the West Coast, the Jacka is receiving National recognition for winning the "Patiently Waiting: California" category. As an independent artist, he competed against major label artist with the mindset to make a statement in the music industry. The statement that working hard independently can create opportunities that many people doubt.

With his upcoming release "Tear Gas" already causing chaos across the West, it was the support of his many fans that sealed the suprising win.

The release of his latest video "All Over Me" generated an amazing 100,000 views in a week, with over 1,500 spins on charting radio stations, and 350,000 myspace plays.
