Fabtech bags Rs. 1030 million project of BPCL

Aug. 20, 2008 - PRLog -- Fabtech Projects and Engineers Ltd. Pune has recently bagged an order from M/s. Bharat Petroleum  Corporation Limited (Government of India undertaking) for installing LPG Mounded Storage Vessels at twelve sites all over India for strategic storage. The order is worth Rs. 1030 million; this excludes 5500MT of BQ Steel plates that are free issue by BPCL. BPCL after considering all technicalities, price and capabilities placed the order on Fabtech for all the 12 Sites tendered.

Till date, Fabtech has successfully executed eighteen mounded bullet projects for Oil companies all over India. Recently Fabtech successfully commissioned & tested India’s largest diameter mounded bullets at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. (MRPL). Fabtech is also executing Mounded Storage system project valuing Rs. 1206 million on a Lump sum Turnkey (LSTK) basis for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd for their Vizag Refinery at Vishakhapatnam. This is India’s largest LSTK mounded LPG / Propylene storage bullets project till date.
Mounded LPG /propane/propylene vessels are pressurized vessels. Due to better safety and security of mounded storage vessels, comparatively less requirement of land space and also because of statutory requirements the demand for mounded storage has increased compared to existing above ground storage vessels both as new and replacement installations. Worldwide it is proved that Mounded Storage is safer than the conventional system. The oil and gas processing industry is likely to install   Rs.1000 cr worth of mounded vessels installation in the coming two years.
