Pruitt Taylor Vince, Jason Connery Build "Houses" in NOLA

Sept. 25, 2008 - PRLog -- New Orleans native and producer of Glass Houses, Jennifer Fontaine announced today the signing of Pruitt Taylor Vince (Monster) and Jason Connery (Shanghai Noon) in major roles to the picture, set to lens March 2009 in and around New Orleans.

"We are thrilled to have such gifted and esteemed actors such as Pruitt Taylor Vince and Jason Connery on board", says Jennifer Fontaine.  
 
Glass Houses denotes Mark Bernier's directorial debut of this provocative neo-noir crime drama, a powerful mix of sex, religion and murder. Bernier and Fontaine penned the screenplay, the graphic tale of Detective Vincent Campo, who is forced once again to face pedophile ex-priest, Raymond Angelus, while investigating the rape and murder of a transgender teen.

Mark Bernier adds, "I am humbled to be working with these two immensely talented actors on this; my first feature and know that they will bring additional asset to our film."
 
Glass Houses is a venture between Fontaine's Scorpio Rising Films, Bernier's Jackie Frost Films and executive producer Milena Merrill.  This production also marks the reunion of Fontaine, Bernier and Award-Winning Director of Photography Ralph Kächele.

Production locations will consist largely of structures damaged by Hurricane Katrina and will receive reconstruction or renovation during filming at the production company's expense.  Additionally, the filmmakers are earmarking a portion of the picture's distribution proceeds for local reconstruction and mental health services for hurricane victims.
 
Rounding out the cast of Glass Houses are: Austin Pendleton (My Cousin Vinny), Irwin Keyes (Intolerable Cruelty), David Mattey (Hancock) and Jennifer Fontaine (LOOK).
