By: Tim Mitchell Owner for the last eleven years, Manolis Anastasakis said "When we first saw Domna at work earlier this summer we were fascinated by her work combining elements of Byzantine, Fajum, and ‘popular art’. We were fortunate that Domna was able to come and spend some time with us during which she produced a number of original works for us to market through our store." "As personal shoppers to Kouroupis in Koutouloufari will know," he continues, "Our existing shop was rather short of wall space as much of it is taken up with ceramics by Manolis Patramanis, Nicole Vider, and Sofia Apostolaki. Fortunately wall space was more plentiful in the store next door and we have taken this over to display Domna’s work and also market a range of Cretan Teas and Herbs under the bannner Art of Tea." In addition to the new works by painter Domna Delliou, Kouroupis have added new products to its existing range of ceramics by Manolis Patramanis including a black version of the famous ‘Dolores’ wall plaque. Other additions from the Patramanis range are some completely new works, and also the ever popular ‘White Monk’. Access to pictures of works by Domna Delliou and also the Art of Tea web site is from the front page of the Kouroupis web site.
