MLC PR Signs Eye Scream Films To Promote Edgy New Web Series Poor Paul

Oct. 27, 2008 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA—MLC PR has announced that Eye Scream Films has partnered up with the firm in order to promote their new web series titled, “Poor Paul.” Created by Sean Michael Beyer, Geoff Hoff, Steve Mancini, Zack Bennett, and Kevin Schlanser [lonelygirl15], and starring Kevin Schmidt [Cheaper By The Dozen 1&2, The Butterfly Effect], Zack Bennett [Down the PCH], Nicholas Braun [Sky High, Minutemen], Samantha Droke [The Suite Life of Zach & Cody], Floriana Lima [How I Met Your Mother] and Palmer Scott [Nip/Tuck] the new media, five minute long episodic comedy series follows Paul, a twenty something guy trying to deal with obnoxious roommates and the perils of life, all while living vicariously through his own Blog.  Production on “Poor Paul” began in July of 2008 and the first episode premiered on September 16, 2008.  The series can currently be seen on YouTube and exclusively in HD on Koldcast TV.      

“Web series are hot these days. I have always believed in them becoming the new wave and I know they will flourish in the next couple years,” says Jordyn Borczon, the MLC PR publicist handling the account. “Poor Paul is absolutely hilarious and the writing and talent is phenomenal.”

Formed in the fall of 2000, Eye Scream Films (ESF), created by director Sean Michael Beyer, has produced a variety of projects including: “Rapid Guy Movement,” “First Kiss,” and “Hey Baby.” From there, the company went on to produce their first full-length films  “Down the P.C.H.,” and “Resurrection Mary.”   Most recently, ESF produced the highly buzzed about “The Alyson Stoner Project,” a unique long form hybrid dance/fitness music video. During the postproduction, the idea of web-based series “Poor Paul” was born. Currently, Eye Scream Films has several projects in development, including two films titled “Randy’s Canvas” and “The Actual World.”
