Follow on Google News | Cats From Across The Country Come To The Gingerbread Capitol Of TexasMore than 200 cats and kittens compete in 12 rings of judging for prizes and titles at the first annual cat show in Waxahachie.
Pedigreed cats and kittens will compete in championship, kitten or alter divisions. Household pets and household pet kittens will compete in their own divisions. Breeds that will be represented at the show include Turkish Van, Maine Coon, Bengal, Persian, Sphynx, Norwegian Forest Cat, American Curl, Havana Brown, Munchkin, Abyssianian, American Shorthair, Birman, British Shorthair, Siamese, Oriental Shorthair and more. In addition, new breeds that will be on hand at the show include the Thai and Kurilian Bobtail. Proceeds from the show will benefit the non-profit cat rescue groups Little Orphan Angels and the Humane Society of North Texas. Little Orphan Angels will be at the show with cats available for adoption.
