Tech Firm up for Awards Hat-Trick

Nov. 18, 2008 - PRLog -- Worcester-based web services company Postcode Anywhere has been nominated for three prestigious awards this week, with ceremonies taking place across three days.

Postcode Anywhere will attend the National Business Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 18 November, where the winners of the 2008 awards will be announced.

Hosted by political commentator and journalist Andrew Marr, the glittering event will be attended by high-profile figures including Prince Edward and Business Secretary Peter Mandelson.

Postcode Anywhere is a finalist in the Orange Best Use of Technology in Business category, after winning the Midlands and the East of England regional finals back in July.

The directors will barely have time to hang up their dinner jackets before they are off to the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham where the winners of the ICT Awards for Excellence will be announced on 20 November.

Postcode Anywhere submitted two products in the “most innovative service” category at the West Midlands ICT Awards – and both have been shortlisted.

Head of marketing Rachael Mackwell said: “We are thrilled by the nominations and if we win any of them, we will consider it to be a real boon as we will be competing against stiff competition, particularly in the National Business Awards as it is UK wide.

“It’s been a great year for us as we won two major regional awards this year and received commendations for two national ones, so we may need to invest in a bigger cabinet if we’re lucky on the night!”
