KEI Industries Ltd. is now fully equipped to manufacture cables up to 132 KV

Dec. 26, 2008 - PRLog -- KEI Industries limited – the Rs. 980 Crore, one of the largest cable manufacturing company in India, which has successfully commissioned 100% Export oriented unit in Chopanki (Rajasthan) early this year, is now fully capable to manufacture EHV cables ranging from 66 KV to 132 KV. KEI has achieved another milestone in its growth history as now it has joined the elite group of few power cable manufacturers which have in-house capability to manufacture cables with more than 66 KV capacity. Earlier KEI Industries was manufacturing HT Power cable to 33 KV.

KEI Industries has strong presence in 27 countries and it has a growing market share of 10% in Indian Market.  KEI’s success story in Power cable industry has encouraged it to explore the new dimensions, company has installed state of the art CCV line imported from "Troester", Germany to upgrade its existing facility .This CCV line with single point triple extrusion has state of the art computerized control and monitoring systems. Sophisticated online X Ray machines continuously checks and measures the dimension of cable to ensure great HT cables for the new age power sector and industry. This High speed & reliable machineries will result in faster production of HT cable (twice the speed of regular output) & would lead to overall operational efficiency. The company has already started getting enthusiastic enquiries for its 66 KV & above voltage grade products.

The company has initiated an extensive capacity expansion/ up gradation at its Bhiwadi, Chopanki and Silvassa plants. KEI Industries has total existing capacity of 50,000 Kms cables (HT & LT), which will be 58,500 Kms post expansions.
