Hindware conferred International Design Award

Jan. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Hindware, the unprecedented market leader in sanitaryware, has created another benchmark as its water closet & wash basin range for children – Poncho- has been conferred with the global Elle Deco International Design Awards (EDIDA). The EDIDA award aims to identify and honor indigenous talent in home decor products at the national level, and to provide an international stage for this creativity. It recognizes people and companies that bring style, splendor and vividness to our lives.

Hindware is known for its designer collection which comes in two different categories: Hindware Art Collection and Hindware Italian Collection. With felicitation from EDIDA, Hindware gets accolades for its concept, design and novelty. EDIDA is the only product design award to be presented by any publication of its kind in India. The competition comprised of twelve categories; from products ranging from bathroom to bedroom, to kitchen to furniture, to young design talent to designer of the year.  This International awards take Indian design to the global level. The winners were decided purely on the quality of design and execution, aesthetics and innovation, appropriateness of form and function and the creative use of type, texture and colour.

Poncho, which bags the EDIDA awards, comes in a froggy shape and is crafted specially for the convenience of the young toddlers. The unique Poncho suite of Water Closet and Wash Basin enables them to use it in a hygienic way. The basin is also in a matching frog shape with built-in pedestal and has eye design bowl space to keep soap dishes which adds a complete new and attractive look to the wash rooms.
