Nissan Diesel America Promotes Evan Smith to Vice President - Sales

(NDA) announced the promotion of Evan Smith to the position of Vice President – Sales at the company’s Headquarters in Irving, Texas today.  “Evan Smith has been integrally involved in sales and sales management with NDA for over 15 years,” said Dayle Wetherell, the company’s Executive Vice President and General Manager. “From a sales district that covered the entire Western United States in 1994 from the Pacific Ocean to the Rockies, all the way to the National level, Evan has maintained a consistent focus on helping our District Managers and their UD TRUCKS Dealers reach and exceed sales goals.”  

Smith stated “The two most important tasks ahead in 2009 are further strengthening dealer commitment to the UD TRUCKS franchise and managing strategic growth in the UD TRUCKS Dealer Group.  The quality of our products has never been higher, our vehicles are right for the market and the times, and our parts and service support is second to none. I’m looking forward to visiting dealers and customers across the country and telling that story.”

He continued “We need to add dealers in key markets across the United States and there’s no better time that right now for a new Dealer to start growing a UD TRUCKS franchise.”
