Jan. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Cheyney University of Pennsylvania will hold a viewing party for the Inauguration of President-Elect-Barack Obama on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 beginning at 11:30a.m., 2nd floor of Marcus Foster Student Union.

The University will feature the view party on a large screen projector T.V. that will broadcast the installation ceremony from Washington, D.C.

Dr. Michelle Howard-Vital, University President, said, “It is so heartwarming for me to see the many Americans who have seen something of their own stories in the story of the blended family of President Obama.  I feel hope when the students in our American schools can see a positive ending to academic excellence, hard work, deferred gratification, and commitment to the American ideals.”

Students, faculty, staff and community residents are encouraged to stop by to witness this historic event on our historic campus that is co-located in Chester and Delaware Counties.
