Take A Stand 2009
      
“Take A Stand” is presented by The Tenacious Group with New York Jets DE Kenyon Coleman, NBC’s ER  Deezer D and Oakland Raiders Team Chaplain Adam Ybarra.  “Take A Stand” is a series of unique and exciting events that will take place in Tampa during Super Bowl XLIII week.

“Take A Stand” will be providing  a 60-minute urban multi-media assembly that is designed to motivate students to “Take A Stand” for their purpose, education and community and the upcoming FCAT Tests.  

“Take A Stand” will present EA Sports “MVP” Award - presented to students who’s made recognizable improvements in academics and positive influence on campus and/or community.      

EA Sports donated video games. Reebok donated NFL Apparel

Why:  

•   74% young people are trying to figure out their purpose  
•   Tampa urban students have less than 50-50 chance of graduating from high school with peers
•   90% of students are unmotivated to learn
