Colorado Designer Picked To Design Pins For Inaugural

Feb. 6, 2009 - PRLog -- Englewood, CO – Local jewelry designer Heide Lasher has been selected to design Presidential Inaugural lapel pins by President-elect Barack Obama’s Presidential Inaugural Committee in Washington, D.C.    Heide’s lapel pins incorporate the official seal of the Inaugural and the official theme of the Inaugural Ceremonies, “Renewing America’s Promise”, (http://www.obama-bling.com/obinhilapinn.html) used under permission of the committee.
   Heide Lasher had previously designed and marketed a very unique rhinestone “Obama Hope” pin, introduced at last summer’s Democratic National Convention in Denver. The “Obama Hope” rhinestone pin was approved for sale by the Obama for America campaign last summer and has been acknowledged by “thank you” letters from both Michelle and Barack Obama.  The pin became one of the most unique and collectible momentos of the campaign due to its design and quality presentation of the now famous Obama Hope logo.    Heide Lasher and her partner Ken Toltz set up a 16th Street Mall vendor booth during the DNC Convention,  created a website; www.Obama-bling.com and also sold the pins directly to supporters at Obama’s Colorado campaign events.
   The Colorado Democratic Party will feature Heide’s Inaugural Souvenir pins at its upcoming Inaugural Balls in Denver and Washington, D.C.  The party will offer the pins as an incentive for Democratic Party donations.
