Tangent Environmental Technologies Appoints Chief Financial Officer

March 13, 2009 - PRLog -- Calgary, Alberta  - Tangent Environmental Technologies, a provider of waste and fluids management, today announced that Richard Seto has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Currently, Mr. Seto comes to Tangent from Clarity Capital where he acts as a President of oilfield services and manufacturing. He has had extensive entrepreneurial experience in many businesses, including the oil field service sector and is currently a member of the Canadian Association of Drilling Engineers. Within his role at Tangent, he will be responsible for managing  all the financial aspects of the company including reporting, policy and tax initiatives. Along with these duties, he will also be involved with helping develop our business strategy and domestic sales market.

Mr. Seto graduated from the University of Calgary in 1980 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and received his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 1983.   He was a senior officer of privately held Big D Rentals and Sales (1981) Ltd. an oilfield rental company from 1980 to 1994 where he was responsible for all accounting, financial and strategic matters.  In 1994 Mr. Seto founded Inter-Tech Drilling Solutions Ltd., a TSE traded affiliate of Big D, successfully introducing underbalanced drilling technology into domestic and international markets before its acquisition by Precision Drilling Corporation in 1998.  From 1998 to 2001 he held senior line and corporate management positions with Precision Drilling, including Vice President and General Manger of wholly owned Northland Energy Corporation and Director, Strategic Communications.
