ADVISORY: Reschedule - AWC's Free Seminar, "Money Talks," To Be Held Wednesday April 29th

April 6, 2009 - PRLog -- MIAMI, FL – March 25, 2009 – The Association for Women in Communications (South Florida Chapter) has rescheduled its free seminar and networking event, “Money Talks: Financial Literacy For Today's Economy,” to Wednesday April 29th, 2009 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport Hotel, 1825 Griffin Road, Dania. Attendees will be entered to win an American Express Gift Check courtesy of Power Financial Credit Union.

The AWC, a century-old professional organization, is hosting this event to provide its members educational opportunities to improve their personal and professional competitiveness in today’s economic climate.  

Power Financial Credit Union, whose industry is also celebrating its centennial anniversary this year, will explain the basics of financial planning and how attendees can use financial instruments to their best advantage.  The seminar will cover subjects such as mortgages and home equity loans, savings plans like 529s and 401(k)s, investing in both bull and bear markets, and additional attendee-suggested topics.  Prior to the seminar, attendees will enjoy a free drink and appetizers.
