12th Annual “Fun In The Sun” Charity Car Show Scheduled For April 25

Hospice of Wake County to Benefit from Annual Event

April 7, 2009 - PRLog -- One of the Triangle’s largest display of classic and antique cars is returning this month.  Corvettes International, Raleigh’s premier club of Corvette owners and enthusiasts, has announced that its 12th Annual “Fun in the Sun” Charity Car Show is scheduled for April 25 at Lake Wheeler Park in Raleigh.  The event will benefit Hospice of Wake County.

The event will be a showcase of vehicles of all makes and models, including muscle cars, sports cars, pony cars, classic and antique autos, as well as street rods and trucks.  Admission to family-friendly event is free to the general public.  Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Registration for car owners interested in displaying their vehicles is $20.00.  Registered cars and trucks will be eligible for trophies and dash plaques. Registration will be held on site from 8:00 a.m. to noon the day of the show.  Lake Wheeler Park is located at 6404 Lake Wheeler Road in Raleigh.

“The Fun in the Sun charity car show is one of the club’s highlights every year, to give back to the community” said Tom Rhyne, show chairman of this year’s event.  “The important thing for the public to know is that it’s more than Corvettes.  Each year, we have one of the best displays of many makes and models, so there will be something there for every car enthusiast.”
