Peter Holsapple of the dBs and REM’s touring band described his impressions of the Barry Cowsill solo recordings as having “the soul and intensity of Neil Young and Keith Richards.” Danny Preston, Music Director at KNBA FM further defines the 13 songs on the “US1” recording as "Solid blues-rock, contemporary and timely."
