April 27, 2009 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES – The U.S. Local Media Annual Forecast estimates that digital media advertising spending will increase by $18.1 billion while traditional media ad spending will decrease by $63.5 billion from 2008 to 2013.  With the rise in online marketing strategies and the shift to digital platforms, Sensis is growing internally as well to broaden the scope and reach of its operations. The Los Angeles-based interactive agency has added five employees to its main office. Each new team member brings experience to key aspects of Sensis’ operations and to provide customers with a full range of solutions that include strategy, analytics and emerging media capabilities such as mobile marketing, social media and online video.

“We have a company strategy that is forward thinking and proactive, which has enabled us to continue to grow despite the recessionary environment and advertising budget cuts taking place in our industry,” Sensis CEO Jose Villa said. “Our digital capabilities are exactly what advertisers are looking for right now. So as agencies struggle during advertiser budget cuts, Sensis continues to stay on track and build up the full range of our operations.”

Sensis’ new hires come from different professional and personal backgrounds. The new team members speak Spanish, Vietnamese and French, adding experience and diversity to serve clients with an interest in reaching multicultural audiences.

David Dorado brings almost five years of experience as a Web marketing specialist to his new position as Web project manager where he will lead the technology and creative teams to develop engaging Web experiences. His addition to Sensis capitalizes on the steady growth of the agency’s award-winning Web development team. Dorado was most recently president of Gold Coast Partners in West Lake Village, Calif., where he managed marketing project operations. He also worked as Web producer for Monkey Cage Entertainment Inc. and was an assistant project manager at Gruber and Gruber LLP.

Dino Hainline joins Sensis as associate digital strategist. He will help lead Web research and analysis to provide strategic planning and up-to-date insights for creative campaigns. His experience builds on the growth of Sensis’ strategy and analytics team, which works across functions to align creative and technical direction with clients’ needs and strategic business objectives. Before joining Sensis, Hainline was a producer and legal consultant for Bold New World in Los Angeles and worked as acquisitions executive for VOY Pictures in West Hollywood.

Oscar Ortega brings more than 10 years of experience of conceptualizing and creating television, radio, print outdoor and interactive campaigns for the U.S. Hispanic market. He joins Sensis as art director, and his addition to the team promises to bring even more innovative ideas and campaigns to the drawing table.

Cheryl Nguyen has been hired as media planner / buyer for Sensis. Her experience in traditional media buying from previous positions at The True Agency, Initiative and Ogivly & Mather will help Sensis expand its media capabilities as a full-service agency offering clients media placement services across all mediums.

Diego de la Maza is the newest account coordinator at Sensis. A recent graduate of the marketing master’s program at Antioch University in San Barbara, Calif., he brings account support and management experience to the company’s growing staff and expanding client list.
