May 12, 2009 - PRLog -- The Financial Services Authority has delivered a number of presentations on Making the most of your money to employees at technology e-tailor Misco, in recognition of the benefits and importance of giving employees financial awareness education during the current economic environment.

The hour long impartial presentation delivered by specially trained presenters at Misco premises covered; basic financial planning and budgeting, borrowing – long term and short term, insurance, saving and planning for retirement.

‘I think it is important to recognise that people can have difficulties due to circumstances beyond their control and also concerns about their future financial wellbeing. As a business the welfare of our people is paramount and we have a  duty to acknowledge the challenges people can face and provide a forum for impartial, objective advice’   said Bob Gordon, Corporate HR Manager at Misco. ‘Of course, there are also commercial considerations because in extreme cases a person may be distracted at work due to their personal financial worries. Providing this type of workshop is a true win-win’ he continued.

Misco employees were also provided with a free booklet guide, which supported the information given at the presentation and signposted them to further sources of advice and information.

The session was well presented and contained lots of practical information that was extremely beneficial for anyone looking to manage their finances as effectively as possible during the current fiscal climate.
