Bella’s Cookies releases new Yin-Yang Cookie

May 31, 2009 - PRLog -- Bella’s Cookies is releasing its newest cookie creation this weekend in Lewes at the opening of the Historic Lewes Farmer’s Market.  The Yin-Yang is the first of 4 new cookies to be released by Bella’s this summer and is a sweet, rolled oat cookie topped with coarse ground salt.

“It’s the perfect balance of sweet and salty” said Mark Leishear (Director of Sales & Marketing for Bella’s) “two opposing flavors that when combined, are just right.”  While most of Bella’s Cookies have stayed within the realm of sweet (Chocolate Chunk, Pumpkin Ginger, White Chocolate Cherry, etc.) the Yin-Yang is the first cookie to be topped with coarse ground salt.  “Not too much” said Leishear “but enough to make salt lovers… ecstatic.”  Leishear said the name was a recommendation from a friend, and fit perfectly.  Bella Leishear is dressed in a traditional Chinese dress on the tag, surrounded by Chinese dragons and is holding a cookie with the “Tao” symbol engraved into the cookie.

Cookies are sold in the traditional double pack (2 – 3.25 oz cookies) for $3.99 and will be found at area retailers, but for this weekend is found at the Farmer’s Market in Lewes.  “Opening weekend at the Farmer’s Market is the perfect place to introduce a new product,” said Leishear “the crowd, the energy, it’s a Yin-Yang in itself.”
